I used to have that mean voice, too. I still remember the day I realized that it was gone.
My goal is to get back to regular exercise. I was exercising regularly until I developed knee problems, and then a neck problem. I can't do all the sorts of leg exercises I used to do because of my knee, so I need to exercise differently, but I know my body will be happier if I am exercising regularly. I'm also turning 60 this year so I want to hang on to my strength and agility.
I normally work out on my lunch break at work (I eat while working) and lately I have had so many errands to do, or the weather is bad. The errands should be fewer now that the holidays are over, and I'm going to ease back into the exercise and just go to the gym 3 times a week and not worry about how much exercise I do while I'm there (not that I'm going to lounge around).

: Hi All,
: I realized that I'm really grateful
: that I no longer do diet or weight
: resolutions for New Year's. I'm
: really happy with this program and
: my size and fitness. No drama, no
: sense of lack or failure. Thank
: you Kathleen and all of you!
: Eating and exercising is joy to
: me.
: I've made a resolution to meditate 10
: minutes a day 4-5 times a week.
: All I have to do is sit and put my
: consciousness into the
: "watcher" rather than
: into my thoughts. I've been doing
: this at the end of my almost daily
: yoga practice, but I don't do it
: consistently.
: When I got to step 7, I began
: aligning myself with "the
: watcher" when I noticed there
: had been a mean low BE voice in my
: head that no longer appeared. It
: wasn't "me". The watcher
: presence is like the calm Kathleen
: writes about. There's always a
: deep, calm, gentle presence inside
: of me that I can now access more
: readily on step 7. So now I want
: to have this regularly, daily,
: even as all the business of the
: day and my thoughts happen. This
: desire has organically come from
: years of this program and now from
: yoga too.
: Happy New Year everyone!
