Many kudos to you for your 22 years of sobriety! Wow!

You don't know how much your post rang true with me. I'm also in recovery from alcohol addiction. Many times I talked about 'normals' and alcohol the way you just related it to sugar. I used to wonder, how is it that some people can be offered a glass of wine and say, "No thanks, I'm not in the mood"? I know how I would have responded! lol. The same way as if someone said, "Ya want this donut?" yep, we're all in the same boat. :) I'm so glad I found Kathleen's program 3 months ago. For me, getting and giving support in groups like this is half the battle.
