Hi Carolyn,

I would love to add a little to this discussion too. :h12)

Thanks for the help. I did reset my
: preferences to simple as I like it
: like that as well. That's a hard
: concept to grasp "stop
: thinking and worrying about the
: sugar".

+++Yes, it is :h11) but it is the essence of the shift we are encouraging.
Our addict brain focuses on the sugar and the all or nothing part of life.
We are trying to nudge you into tiny changes that work on the bigger picture, the
addiction behavior, and fear and shift you into thinking about eating enough and
having a wonderful relationship with food. We are talking about this on the step one list a lot.

I worry about gaining
: weight if I have a breakfast that
: is more than what I do which is I
: just have a breakfast bar and then
: a banana a couple of hours later.

+++Yes, this is what most of us do...before...and why
this is so disorienting. But from a neurochemical basis,
having enough and having more protein changes everything, especially
wanting to eat a lot more during the day.

: I did try having two eggs with a
: little cheese and some veggies in
: it.

+++And even more shocking will be having a complex carb with it :h2) .

That will stretch your brain even more. But you have a great attitude and I
love your willingness.

Very confusing when you've
: tried to not eat certain things
: and then to give yourself
: permission to eat it

+++Yep, truly radical! :h12)
