Yes, a "snack" is such a friendly, nurturing thing, isn't it? :h11) I love your examples. They sound so gentle and fun.

Even though I technically do "workouts" and "training," I prefer to call them "joy rides on my bicycle" or "running" or "muscle class," because they bring me so much delight. Today I rode on a bike path in 30 windy (F) degrees. It was sunny and alongside a bay. People were out running and dog walking. I was dressed properly and had such a great time. That was an exercise meal, filled me up.

When I got back to the car I had tuna fish cakes and a salad that I'd brought (we went on a road trip today to get my husband fitted properly for his bike). Then I had a thermos of hot tea (learned that from my trip to Scotland--no one hikes without one). Such a nice day!

But I digress--exercise snack is now part of my vocabulary, and I consider it having come from you, mosaic, which makes it really nice. :h5)

: JoEllen, Sherri, I nicked it :h6)
: :h4) I found I resonated really
: well with exercise snack as a
: phrase. It sounded so achievable
: and friendly. And I do well on
: committing myself to 5 minutes
: exercise snack rather than a 40
: minute dvd for instance

: it was a phrase used on a documentary
: where they were aiming to prove
: that , say, five exercise snacks
: through the day had just as much
: benefit as one longer
: 'workout'...…… now, workout sounds
: like so much effort, :h6) so this
: fits me better.

: Another benefit is one exercise snack
: suggested was to raise arms, with
: light weights, while watching TV.
: That's a good one :h6) Its the
: fitting it into a day that works
: so well
