such a good idea for last-minute !

Im dreadful for things lurking in the fridge, So when I buy a bunch of leeks, I chop them and an equal amount of onions and fry them in olive oil. This makes about 4 batches that I freeze in old takeaway containers. Then its easy to just grab one for whatever cooking. The onions freeze very well , though soft rather than crispy so I wonder if it would work

( I do celery onion and red peppers the same, a trinity of those, or else the celery will stay there for ever and eventually get thrown limply out)
