we don't celebrate valentines at our house. Don't be sad we do say oh Im glad you're my valentine! but Im told it is a commercial venture, and we do the gesture every day thing instead - being brought a cuppa, preparing favourite foods, organising treats , thoughtfulness etc

Anyway I have read somewhere about valentines should be a demonstration of love to oneself. Your relationship with you. I have had problems getting my head around this notion. But then I read about how its really self care. Its the self care that demonstrates self love. That making the effort for yourself, instead of everyone else

ok then ! there will be a walk in the crisp sunshine. An outing to the library because they have a book I want to pick up.... a bit of a read with a decaf to hand..... to the shop to get fresh stuff for Thai fish curry...….. that's all my self-valentine , its all about me but my DHValentine can join in
