: Hi Char, yes I am still here, almost
: 20 years in now, can you believe
: it????? And while I have been
: experiencing a variety of age
: related 'challenges' shall we say,
: being steady on the food is what
: has helped me the most to not
: necessarily accept 'this is the
: way it has to be from now on,' but
So good to hear from you Gretchen....I always respected you.... Yes things have really changed since I turned 70,,,,I used to walk miles along the Pacific shore when we lived on the California Coast and miles and miles along the Gulf Coast when we lived in Florida...also rockclimbing and hauling driftwood to burn in our fireplace ,,,Those activities were great for my heart and bones...but played havoc with my joints...n the past few years I have had knee replacement, hip replacement, back surgery and a hip fracture...lately I have been too exhausted to .do much and I am sure it has a lot to do with my food...and so I am excited about getting back in tune with RR...just slowly...keep in touch and blessings...btw do you still live in New England? I have cousins in Maine and Vermont.
: to look for solutions.
: One example, around Christmastime
: both my knees became extremely
: painful, diagnosis was
: osteoarthritis, given a cortisone
: shot and sent on my way with a
: small admonition that losing some
: weight could help ease the stress.
: While that might be true, it
: certainly would not be a 'cure'
: and I have looked for
: alternatives. I love to exercise
: and had even had to stop some of
: what I was doing. Instead I found
: Pilates and some Aqua Therapy have
: worked wonders and I'm walking
: well again!!!
: I've had to add a snack into my daily
: routine on days I have either of
: those classes, but otherwise my
: food remains steady and supportive
: and the exercise does wonders for
: my BE.
: Nice to see you back, I hope you'll
: find RR as helpful as you did in
: the past and as I have over the
: years. It's a lifeline for sure.
: Gretel
: .I am wondering if
