Well, it looks as though we do not have small cans of refried beans available here. I guess that makes sense given that I live in New Mexico where no one would eat small servings of it. In fact, it is available in gargantuan cans here. There were normal sized cans, but then I would have to have a container at work to put the rest of the contents of the can into. The closest thing I could find in small cans was bean dip made for fritos (how ironic, LOL) but very high in sodium. However, I think what I am going to do is to freeze some brown rice and store it in the freezer at work. I will mark it with the date, and after a month has passed, I'll eat it and cook some more.
I am going to continue to investigate other more portable options.
