Hi mosaic
I love this post, some great new ideas
Sounds like you had a great trip.
Thanks for sharing what you’ve learned
Fiona R
: Been traveling and learnt some new
: things to share
: I always learn a new thing on an
: adventure, and it goes in my
: knowledge stack for next time
: the first one I am sure my American
: friends will laugh. I honestly did
: not know you can get sauce or
: dressing "on the side"
: Even though I have seen When harry
: Met Sally
: I was giving a poor waitress an
: interrogation about some sauce and
: she had no clue what was in it.
: She suggested I have it on the
: side Astonished ! Well, I licked
: it , loved it and ate it so I
: don't come out all that saintlike
: there as Im sure I got a headache
: But just this knowledge I can
: ask for things on the side is
: really going to be useful in
: future. ( Doesn't always mean I
: should follow through and eat it
: lesson learned)
: On the other hand, another place got
: so enthused about my request for
: no sugar, went and checked with
: the chef because the salad had
: mint in it and she thought it
: might have natural sugars. Loved
: her.
: Now I know to always buy a pack of
: salmon with dill and lemon even
: though I don't think I need it
: because you can bet in 10 days
: time I will and have never seen it
: since...……... and its turns out
: worth carting it about. If any
: opportunity presents itself just
: grab it ( same applies to
: saving my unused buffet butter and
: peanut butter sachets )
: My fave though was a glass jar of
: cubed feta in oil will serve as a
: salad dressing in places where its
: a bit dodgy AND a top up protein.
: It perhaps wasn't my favourite
: oil, but good enough is good
: enough when I'm doing the best I
: can Probably vowing to never
: travel without it, it was so handy
