It's hard to live far away from your parents. When I moved to New Mexico it wasn't an issue, but now that my parents are in their 80's, it's hard. It's good that you are thinking about plans now, so that if you have to make a trip suddenly, you will already have food issues figured out. I hope your mom will be all right.
