Chloe,
Sending my warmest wishes to you, your mom and your family.
Today my granddaughter was diagnosed with leukemia.
She's 4 years old.
I spent the day babysitting for her younger brother, as her parents were in hospital with her.
Needless to say, my food was nothing to write home about today.
I didn't fret and just did the best I could.
Later this evening, I ate some left over salmon and a cucumber.
Then a bowl of cornflakes with milk - not my best brown, to make an understatement.
But knowing what to eat, and eating as best I could under the circumstances, brought a lot of calm for me.
I adopt your wise words, Chloe -
doing solutions and not emotional distraught.
