Re: moving sugar to meals

Hi Kathleen,
Thanks for responding. :h6) For breakfast I usually have left overs from the night before and I'll add an egg or cheese or natural peanut butter to round out the protein. Chicken, broccoli, sweet potato, cheese. Spoonful of honey. Lunch: Ground Turkey tacos. about an hour later...ice cream and cookies. Dinner: Salmon, artichoke hearts, Golden potatoes. spoonful of peanut butter and honey.

What kind of got me all messed up is about 3 months ago I needed a root canal and was super stressed....couldn't eat much and had absolutely 0 sugar. Just completely turned off to it because of the deeply infected tooth. However I was so depressed...it was horrible. I was doing a lot of waking up at 2 or 3 and never falling back to sleep. So... fast forward to now...I start up with the sugar again and depression and insomnia are gone. I feel tons better. But sugar is terrible for my insulin resistance, fatty liver and gums and teeth, etc.

So I would like to figure out what kind of sugar would be good for me after my meals. That would be steady but also not unhealthy.

I am 5'1" and weigh 145. I lost about 18 lbs. during the whole dental fiasco. I am an exerciser...lots of long walks and a little bit of body weight exercises daily.

Thanks for your input!
