I think it's really important to do the program for a while and get your food really steady before doing this kind of work. For instance, there are different kinds of hunger.
Real, physical hunger - caused by not enough food, too long between meals, not enough protein. Ignoring this kind of hunger results in blood sugar crashes, which have biochemical consequences and you want to avoid
Biochemical hunger - caused by a blip in your beta endorphin levels. For me, it felt like bottomless pit hunger, but no matter what I ate, I felt hungry afterwards. Over time, I learned how to tell this apart from physical hunger
And then the hunger that Barbara is talking about, which is also something other than physical hunger.

You absolutely do not want to ignore real, physical hunger. That way lies bingeing, blood sugar issues, emotional upheaval etc

Maybe you are eating plenty of food, but not enough protein. I could eat absolute mountains of carbs, and if there isn't enough protein to go with it, I will get hungry much sooner than one would expect. With plant-based food, you need to eat more volume to get the same amount of protein.

Anyway, the point of all this is that you are just starting out, and I think it's way too early to decide that you should ignore hunger feelings. You need to learn how often your body needs food, which foods work best for you, how much protein you need etc first, and then make changes from a place of being steady and knowing your body really well.
