Re: A question about balance

"I realized my mouth was hungry but my stomach wasn't" - this sounds totally familiar to me and is why I have gotten into so much trouble with food. It's like eating is 'entertainment', not nourishment.

Not sure what - if anything - to do about that except sticking with the steps, but wanted to express solidarity with you.

: Ok you bring up another point and
: that is my journal. For the last
: couple of months my journal has
: been lacking because I decided
: that since I eat basically the
: same foods with almost no sugar
: then I don't need to write it
: down, this food = this reaction.
: Same foods = same reactions. Just
: my excuse du jour. But using my
: journal to listen to what my body
: is saying about all the things you
: mentioned - that could be a new
: direction for writing.

: All my life I've eaten till the food
: was gone without paying any
: attention to fullness or
: satiation. I just kept stuffing it
: in till there was no more to
: stuff.

: The other night I was laying in bed
: and I realized my mouth was hungry
: but my stomach wasn't. I'm not
: sure what that means but that kind
: of thing belongs in my journal,
: right?

: Thanks Mosaic, you've given me a lot
: to think about.
