Re: A new year, and reading the book again

Hi Allison and Mosaic,

I am rereading PNP because I have felt quite discouraged by my lack of progress. There must be something I'm missing so I am back into reading the textbook on why my body reacts the way it does to sugar. In YLD chat there was mention of a book study. I think that would be a great addition. I get so much from reading what people say on the community forum and groups and I am promising myself to utilize them more often than I have and to join in posting, Felt to shy before but feel it is time to let go of that

: I don't really make New Years
: resolutions. I well remember the
: days when I would resolve to
: change everything in my life. I'm
: sure you can imagine how well that
: went. :h3) Of course I had no
: plan, no mini steps etc

: Last year was kind of a tough year in
: some ways. This year feels
: different, and I decided I wanted
: to go in a different direction, so
: I've decided to focus on joy and
: gratitude. I am also working on
: decluttering. My husband and I
: have too much stuff. We will be
: moving at some point in the next
: couple of years to a larger house
: with less storage space, so we've
: both realized we need to start
: cutting down on what we own. We're
: starting in the house and then
: we'll work on the 5(!) storage
: sheds.

: I also thought this would be a great
: time to read the 2008 edition of
: Potatoes not Prozac again. It's
: been a while since I read it, and
: although I've been doing the
: program for a long time, I'm sure
: I will learn things from reading
: it again. It will also be
: interesting to reflect on my
: experiences with doing the
: program. It's always eye-opening
: to remember what my life was like
: before the program and see how far
: I've come, because those awful
: days are pretty far in the past
: now. It's been 20 years!

: I'd love to have company reading the
: book and talking about it. I'm
: going to take it really slowly and
: really think about it, so don't
: worry about getting left behind if
: you don't have it yet, or getting
: overwhelmed if you are just
: starting out with the program.
: Even if you aren't reading the
: book, I'm sure you will be able to
: participate, because we all can
: relate to so much that's in it.
: But if you haven't read the book,
: I highly recommend it. Even if I
: had never read the rest of the
: book, the section on biochemistry
: alone would have been
: life-changing but of course the
: whole book is wonderful and
: useful.

: Anyone want to join me?
