Re: Susan S: Joys plus a question

Susan,

I love the crunch of the leaves too -- maybe we never outgrow that, I hope not. :h4)

I wonder, did you start eating something that wasn't in your regular diet when you thought you had the flu? Maybe it was a sensitivity to something from the beginning.

On the other hand, I think things like food poisoning can continue to cause distress for weeks. And some infections like giardia never go away completely I guess. So maybe it is something that hasn't totally cleared up yet.

I'm sure you've checked your journal. Could there be a non-food clue -- like where you ate or something unusual that happened in your life?

I hope you'll let us know what you discover :h12)

: :h11) How lovely to read others joys!
: Thanks for sharing, everyone!
: Mine include a walk (after a healthy
: picnic) that I enjoyed with my
: granddaughters in a park I first
: enjoyed as a girl fifty years ago.
: The dry oak leaves still make the
: same crunch, the wind gusts still
: blow the leaves in a wondrous
: pattern, and I brought home the
: biggest oak leaf that I think I
: have ever seen, eleven inches from
: stem to tip! Pure joy, I think, is
: hearing well-fed, happy kids say,
: "this was a really good
: day!" at the end of a hectic
: school and extra-curriculars day.
: ~smile~

: I could use some help, please. More
: than two weeks ago I seemed to
: have a stomach flu bug, and since
: then I just haven't felt right.
: Like I haven't been able to get my
: blood sugar steady it seems. I
: have added in some snacks and
: extra browns, which helps keep
: nausea down, but I am kind of
: forcing myself to eat sometimes,
: and not feeling the greatest after
: anything, really. No food is
: enough or quite right for holding
: me, it's very strange. The old
: normal, my best standbys, aren't
: doing it for me. My blood pressure
: is lower than it normally is and I
: am just not myself. Any thoughts?

: I know it's been said that it's
: always the food. :h11) I have
: ruled out bad water, now wondering
: if my body no longer likes or
: processes oats (in regular or
: gluten-free). That will be my next
: thing to eliminate unless someone
: else has other thoughts. And I am
: eating my personal regular trusty
: food every 2.5 hours or else
: feeling really, really off.

: Thanks for any advice.
