Hi Diane:

Some people have cut down or given up salt, but that is more a step 7 kind of thing to do after you have done all the other steps and experienced healing. :h7) I think salt can be kind of BE spike if we are excessive with it rather than a gentle BE (beta endorphin - the feel good hormone in our bodies). :h10) Gentle is always better for me because I crash down after spikes and that is not good. :s3(

My blood pressure is naturally on the low side and only goes to the "normal" or "average" if I am extremely stressed or am taking certain medications. I have not given up salt. :h6)

It is my understanding that some folks are salt sensitive i.e. it affects their blood pressure and others are not. :h5)

I think the salt issue is something to discuss with your doctor as I don't know how high your blood pressure goes when you have a lot of salt or processed food with salt in your diet. :h26) There are ways to add in spices that make food taste really good without raising blood pressure. I personally like parsley, sage, dill weed, rosemary and for things that are usually sweet, I like cinnamon, ginger, cloves etc. :h11)

How is your breakfast going? Do you know the four parts of breakfast: :h5)

Within the hour after you get up
With enough protein for your body weight
Every day
With a complex carbohydrate

You will be amazed at the healing as you proceed in the steps. :h6)
