Re: Breakfast. What DID it actually do for me ?

I am still reminiscing :h10) :h6)

Foodie discoveries that I loved In early days. Was it easy ? NO. I grumbled and complained my head off :h6) And it wasn't fair :h6) And I was sure it wouldn't work, being so unique. But it helped anyway despite all that :h11)

*I did too much protein. Too little. Eventually read the guidelines and had a nudge from Kathleen :h6)
* I did far too much brown for me which was really quite 'teaching' I mean I * really* overdid it !
*I found breakfast in bed was a necessary treat at weekends
*rosemary roast potatoes reheated really well in the micro
* a combination of proteins worked better for me to get the right grams.... like bacon, egg, sausage
*frozen butter mashed sweet potatoes were a perfect brown at the winter time
*shake was too runny and gave me heartburn so I made it thick in a dish with nuts, coconut, seeds
*Green and Blacks cocoa powder a nice addition to shake/cottage cheese
*I love hot things even in hot weather
*brown abroad was a huge challenge but potato fairly reliable
* within the hour was ok but for years within half hour was even better
*shake keeps lovely in the fridge overnight with a stir
* I know cooked oats is ok but I preferred them raw
* when travelling shake was good made up thick in the dish with salted peanuts in it
* Tupperware shaker also works when travelling
*Loved toasted oats. cottage cheese and frozen forest fruits
*cottage cheese so dense for volume, I liked the tartness of it in shake too
*greek yogurt was a useful top-up protein
* hard boiled eggs travel well in shell and feel denser to me somehow
* I discovered I liked brown on the side really
* I have my own special cutlery and spoon. They're Mine. And mug :h6) :h6)
* Loved how my mum was on my side and had a corner of her cupboard full of refried beans and chickpeas and red beans always for when I turned up
*my hardest thing? that *every day meant every day , not just Mon-Fri. with weekends off :h6)
* breakfast crustless quiche in summer was lovely
* so was Spanish omelette with lots of onion and potato well chilled
*home made coleslaw and roasted vegetables keeps forever in the fridge and is a great addition to my breakfast ( I know you all like kale and spinach ( shudder) :h6) )
*that watching the forum really helped seeing other peoples report of breakfast. Reading those sharing ideas, so reinforcing.
